Our Little Stinker

The older that Elijah gets, the more I realize that kids say and do the darndest things. I have to say that while they are cute, they are also little stinkers. Case in point: Elijah has a book called "What's wrong little Pookie?" It's a very cute book by Sandra Boynton. We love all her books. Anyway. The book starts with the little animal, Pookie, being sad and his mom trying to figure out what's wrong. Basically she asks him questions and he says no or that's silly to everything. Well, I read the book to him last night and then let him take it to bed with him. I woke up this morning to hear him saying "awbosjtklj? No. Sabogidfjj? No. LSkdjfkj juice? no." I realized that he was "reading" his book. He understood the concept of the mama asking questions and the baby saying no. How cute? Later in the day we had a quick visit with some friends (who have kids, and more importantly, kids toys) and Jake said it was time to go. Elijah looked at him and said "bye!". Jake said that no, they were both going, and they would go to Papa and GaGa's house. He proceded to say, of course, "bye". Little stinker.
Now I can only imagine how the new baby is going to rock his world. He now "knows" that a baby is in Mama's belly. We ask him where Mama's baby is and he comes over to my belly and lifts up my shirt. We ask him to kiss the baby and he kisses my belly. Way cute but I'm sure 4 days after she (or he) is born he will be pointing back at my belly to say "put it back where it came from!" We'll see!
All for now!

Elizabeth-
Did I read your profile right? Twins? Your son will be the perfect age for younger siblings to come. He'll be able to help out, and feel really important.

I hope you are feeling well!
