Exciting News

Well, this past couple months I haven't posted a whole lot. We've been battling sickness and then I got the flu and it knocked me out for a week. In bed or on the couch....every symptom. It was awful. I couldn't believe how sick I was when everyone else just had the sniffles. About the fourth day I felt discouraged and just could not understand why I was so nauseated and actually getting sick (which is NOT me). I decided something else must be up. So....this is my news. 

I found out when I was 6 weeks. I am now 9 weeks and we've had an ultrasound to verify that everything is going great with our ONE little gummy bear. 

Before we found out, Elijah had been asking for about 2 weeks for a sister. We said basically too bad kid, your Dad is fixed, no more babies for us. Ha! I guess he knew something we didn't. He loves to pray every night for things like keeping him safe at night from bad guys and spiders and scorpions. I asked him if he was praying for anything else. He said no...but I wouldn't be surprised if God just helps this little guy out. The consensus is that everyone things it is or wants a girl. Talk about pressure, lol. I will be sure to post when we know!

My Little Artist

We've been passing sickness throughout our house. It's been a joy. I had bronchitis for a week in the beginning of January. Then Jonah had an ear infection. We had a week when I thought things were on the upswing....no sickness. HA! Then, I got the flu. That was super fun. NOT REALLY! I haven't spent so many days in bed and on the couch in forever. I even was sick for my birthday. Yay. Happy birthday to me. Then Elijah got sick, most likely with RSV the pediatrician said. Now Noah has a cough and low fever, so again, probably RSV. On the way home Jonah said his ear hurt...so we shall see. 

Anyway. We haven't done much due to all the bugs.  But Jonah's been keeping occupied with drawing. He's a little artist. Check out his bunny picture, front and back.

Maybe I'm biased, but I think that's pretty good for a 4 1/2 year old. He's so proud of them!

Family Park Fun

Last Sunday we went to the park as a family and had a lot of fun. We attempted to fly some little kites that the boys had received for Christmas but it wasn't quite windy enough.

If you can vaguely see the little red spot in this picture, that is Noah's kite.

Here we are playing football.

We had a lot of fun. It is really nice to get out and have some fun together.

Our weather has been a bit overcast for the last week or so. This was one of the beautiful sights I was able to witness a few days later. A full rainbow. It's been awhile since I've seen one. It made me happy. I was hoping Elijah would be able to see it as I was going to go pick him up from school, but by the time I got him, it was gone. 

More Train Park Fun

Children's Museum

Elijah's class went to the Children's Museum on Friday. We have never been to this one and Elijah really wanted me to be a chaperone. I compromised and instead met him there with his brothers. I am kinda glad that I did. I don't know if I would have wanted to be responsible for 6 children in that place! It is a parents nightmare! Seriously! Fun place for the kids but good luck trying to keep an eye on them! There was a huge tree house play area that was their favorite to play in. And impossible to see them at all times. I swear they should have some sort of electric kid collar or something that you can press to let your kids know when you want them to come down from that thing. 

It is pretty impressive all of the imaginative play areas that they have. Jonah and Noah really liked the area set up to build forts.

They also liked the play car wash. They could ride little trikes in it, but chose to use these push bikes instead. Why? Because my kids don't know how to pedal for some reason. They just don't understand the concept at all.

They also had these tubes hanging from the ceiling that the kids walk through.  Yeah. Another potential "I lost my kid" area.

They had a grocery store and kitchen.

This is part of the huge tree house. There is a bathtub with wings. As soon as we saw it Jonah informed me that he knows this place because it was on a commercial on PBS kids. Lol. Ah, kids and commercials.

Jonah loved the art area. He's my little artist.

I think we had a lot of fun. But it was a lot of work keeping them in my sight.
