Elijah the BIG boy

I am so proud of Elijah. He has been going on the potty for the past few days now. Of course, we have been bribing him to do so. We tried stickers. We tried dum-dums. What worked? Cars. Cars movie cars that is. Elijah pooped on the potty a few days in a row so I gave him a car. When he did it again we took him to the Disney store to find a "the King" car. While there we found a set of larger die cast race cars including "the King", Lightning McQueen, and Chick Hicks. Of course he wanted it. Lightbulb. New deal. Now if he goes on the potty ALL DAY without accident he gets to pick one of the 10 cars in the set. So far its worked. It's amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it. I figure after 10 times we should have a good habit started. I guess we'll see!

QUICK UPDATE

I decided to take the boys on Friday to get a "well baby" check as we have only had 2 of those and only two of their immunizations due to illness. HA! The PA looks in Jonahms ear and says she hates to tell me this but he's got an ear infection. A double ear infection actually...they both do. So after 2 round of Amoxicillin she bumped us to Augmenten so hopefully that works! They didn't even act sick! Allergy type stuff but no fussiness or pulling on ears. Now...they're fussy! Kept Jake up all night! Silly boys.

Other news..Noah has 2 teeth! They came in 5 days apart. I was surprised bc Jonah has been the drooly St Bernard not Noah.

Jonah has been getting around well. He rolls everywhere. Noah stays still so far...but he has mastered the art of sitting pretty well.

Elijah is SOO cute! He told Jake yesterday to chill out. where does he get this stuff.

Hmmm.

I am at a Hmmm...stage. I don't really know what to say in my blog. How do you update something reporting your life to others when you feel like so much has gone on you feel like your head has been on spin cycle in the washer? I feel like my thoughts are so disorganized right now...like I have a million, zillion things to think about. Like...

I'm tired. I'm tired of working. I hate saying good-bye to my kids...hate being away from my husband...hate working night shift when my body wants to fall asleep by about 3am. I don't like feeling like a zombie...yet I love my night shift coworkers and everything about night shift (while I'm at work) vs. day shift.

I hate not having a car. I want my car back. I feel stranded. I want to be able to go out if I need to. I don't want to rely on other people. It's been since the day after Christmas. Enough is enough. I don't like getting 3 hrs less of sleep because I have to wait at work to be picked up then get up early to pick Jake up.

I'm very glad Jake wasn't hurt in his car accident last Friday. I'm also glad the car wasn't totalled. Not real thrilled that insurance can't get in contact with the driver (since it was HIS fault) so we can get the ball rolling on repairs.

I can't believe the little boys are 6 months.

Did I mention I'm tired.

Do Mom's get a day off?
