Well it's official. Noah is a boy. I had him in the Johnny Jumper while I gave Jonah and Elijah a bath. He was having a good ol' time when he stopped and got a strange look on his face. He started up with a major coughing fit, made a nasty boy noise and SPIT on the floor, looked at it then proceeded to start bouncing again...in his spit...giggling. It must be some in born thing or something. I'm in for it!
Elijah was amusing today. He was laying on our filthy, nasty floor (which I have told him NOT to do but that's beside the point) when he finds something stuck on the floor (big surprise). He asks me what it is and I tell him it's dirt or something gross. His response "Oh, so now we need to buy a new floor so it won't be dirty anymore." "No , buddy, we just wash it." He looks arround at it "No Mom, we need a new floor...this one's disgusting."

My Mommy Life
This is me. One of the many places you can find me during any point of the day...snuggling my two baby boys. Jake took this picture a couple months ago (as you would guess if you are a fellow Arizonan and noted the long sleeves) but I think it reflects who I am. What I think of myself as. My Mommy look.
I am blessed with three wonderful, amazing little boys and a wonderful man. I enjoyed my Mother's Day immensely. I was able to enjoy a nice dinner surrounded by my loved ones at Mimi's Cafe. I ordered yummy turkey dinner. My little turkeys all liked it as well...even the little ones! I was presented with the sweetest Mother's Day card complete with a beautiful piece of artwork. It's a colorful car I am told. Jake took Elijah to Cost Plus World Market (love that store!) where Elijah picked out a beautiful pink frame. When Jake suggested something else he was told by Elijah that no, the frame was what he wanted to get me..."it says Happy Mother's Day" (not really, but that's what he thinks...how cute is that?)
Although I knew I was pregnant with twins last year at this time, I never quite imagined my life the way that it is now. It's wonderful and terrible. Quite odd to say, I know, but really, life has it's ups and downs and so to be quite honest, this last 8 months has been a whirlwind of them. Many of the people that I have talked to who have twins of their own told me the first year is the hardest...and I sure do hope they are right. If that's the case, there is light at the end of the tunnel. It's been hard to be at the doctors so much (I swear I live there), constantly sleep deprived, pulled in twenty directions, and live in a messy house that just adds to the chaos of things. Sometimes everything just feels a little surreal. It's been wonderful to see two entirely different babies at the same age, yet doing entirely different things. It's amazing to see their personalities grow. It's even more awesome to see all three boys interact and love each other (and fight too!) I am looking forward to all the time that I get to spend with my family and pray that one day (sooner than later!) I would be able to stay at home with them (or at least go to part time). Jake and I both have that as a goal and are praying that the Lord will make that happen. It is definitely a Biblical desire so I have total faith that He can provide this for us. On His time, I know...unfortunately that's sometimes hard to wait for. Patience is a virtue, that's for sure.

Happy Mother's Day
One entirely rotten thing about living across the country from my Mom is that I don't get to see her in person on Mother's Day. For years Mother's Day was spent running around first to see one Grandma and then the other, all while my Mom got nothing more than a quick "Happy Mother's Day" a home made card sticky with glitter and glue and a package usually filled with some new summer pajamas. Now both of my Grandmas have long since passed and it should be her turn...and I'm stuck in Arizona and can't even take her out for brunch. Boo. Well...this posting is for my beautiful Mom who I very much wish I could be spending time with today.
Happy Mother's Day Grammy! We love you very much and can't wait for you to hold us and rub our fuzzy heads (Jonah too..his picture accidentally got erased and I can't get it back up...stupid phone)
Happy Mother's Day Mom. I couldn't have asked God for a better Mommy. I don't think I appreciated you nearly enough until I had children of my own.Even though I am 31 years old there are still many days that I wish I could become that 5 year old girl with the scraped knee and run to you so you could make everything better. You are my best girlfriend. Thanks for all of the long talks at the kitchen table talking over all my worries, dreams, and desires. Thanks for laying on my floor all night while I was sick watching Johnny Carson. Thank you for all of your sacrifices. I know you probably wanted the last blonde brownie but let me have it instead. I don't know why on earth you got up every day in the freezing weather and unthawed the water bottle for a crazy mean rabbit while you were 9 months pregnant but I'' pretty sure it was because he was mine and you loved me...and someone had to do it. Thanks for doing all the dirty work, the laundry, scrubbing floors and toilets, and baseboards..I hate those things. But, they needed to be done by someone...and I never heard you complain about it. Thanks for all the yummy nutritious meals, and paper bag lunches. I enjoyed all the time we were able to go places together (even camping) but I especially loved the getting up early on Saturday morning and going garage saling. How I miss that!
I could go on and on but my main point is that I love and appreciate all you are, all you do... I love you very much and hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day.

Elijah
My first born son. My little munchkin. The one who made me a Momma. To celebrate Mother's Day early my little man took me to Chick-Fil-A for there special mother son dinner. We sat at tables lined with pink cloths and confetti and got chicken sandwiches , waffle fries, and strawberry sundaes :) I was impressed. We were served our food so I (for once) ate my food hot as I only had ONE munchkin and he was too busy eating his own yummies to interupt me. Dillards must have donated some items so I got a small goodie bag with a bag of flavored marshmallows, Godiva chocolates, a sample of Chanel No 5 (to cover the smell of spit up I suppose) and I was entered into a chance to win a fragrance basket (which I'm not too hopeful of..I never win anything..even if it was a 1 in 5 chance) and a pretty pink rose. We had a lot of fun together. In fact when we were going to go home Eloijah broke out in tears because he wanted to go to Target and get an Icee. What can I say...I caved and we walked around Target together at 815 at night Icees in hand. I love my lil boy!

My Little Men
I am actually posting about myself (I know, how selfish) but I had to share pictures of my little men first.
I actually went to the doctor for ME today. I feel like I am there all the time. Come to think of it...I am...every one to two weeks. I should just get a job there LOL! Anyway, I figured since the dizziness and near fainting hasn't gone away and I had that SVT (fast heart beat) episode and (might) have a sinus infection a visit was warranted. She was concerned about me...always is..thinks I need more rest..don't know why :) Yes, I have sinusitis. That COULD be the reason for my dizzinesss/fainting/near fainting BUT my blood pressure is way low for me....92/50. It usually runs about 120/65. So she told me to take my antibiotics, drink a lot of fluid, and REST. So I had to call in for tonight. thankfully I have the PTO to do so AND I am not scheduled until Tuesday. I have been laying on the couch as much as possible and have downed as much water this morning as I usually do all day. It's very hard for a busy girl to be compliant!
So we do this and if I still have the episodes we may need to consult with a cardiologist to see if its my heart...boo:( We'll just pray its not and after the infection is gone I'm myself again.

Sharing
Elijah has always loved the music box from his mobile. Because of this I allowed him to keep it on the side of his toddler bed instead of putting it on the boys' crib. Thee other day, however, we wanted to try out the mobile and see how it the boys liked it. From that day it has stayed in their room and Elijah has shared his beloved music box with his little brother....Jonah especially as it is on his crib...and he loves it.
When did I get such a grown up little boy? My how time flies!
That being said I would love to find a wealthy individual who would take pitty on me and share his/her money with my family. Not for anything major (at least not in comparison to asking for a million dollars.) Just a vacation to Disney World with my family. We need to get away and have fun together. The stress of 3 kids 3 and under, 2 constantly sick babies, keeping up just with laundry, dishes, and food all while both of us are working full time (and nights at that in my case) has really taken its toll on my health. Looking in the mirror has become a sight that I quite often ignore. Glancing up to see dark purple bags under your reddened and dry eyes combined with a complexion that is screaming for some TLC is not really something one desires...especially when your hair is matted down with baby food. That in and of itself, however is not my true worry. I can't ever seem to feel well. I am exhausted. I try to sleep and either I am woken up constantly by 1 or all children at some point of the night or I am so anxious that my sleep is interupted by myself worrying about missing my alarm or not hearing a crying baby. Yesterday after work I started to go to sleep only to be jolted awake by my heart beating close to 200 beats a minute. The only way I could get it to stop was by vagaling myself. That's not the most enjoyable feeling. To make matters worse, as I was on my way out the door to go to work later on I ended up passing out for some unknown reason and had to call in (late) for work bc I didn't know what was going on. All I know is lately I just ache all over had have a perpetual headache. Of course last night my night only got better when my teething vs ear infection Jonah was awake ALL NIGHT LONG! I felt so bad for him wiith his pitiful obviously-I'm-in-pain cry. Oy! When can a girl catch a break or some shut eye? A vacation would be well desired.

Twin play
I LOVE watching the boys play! It is amazing to see that despite being twins they have incredibly different personalities. I know that they are not identical but I guess I thought they'd have some similarities. Instead I have found that they have none. Noah is content with sitting and playing in one spot. Jonah rollls all over finding new toys to keep him occupied. The funny part is watching Jonah bring toys by Noah only to have Noah quickly steal them and give him a smug look of satisfaction..."thanks bro, I needed something new to chew on." Meanwhile Jonah just eyes him bewildered that Noah would even THINK of taking his toy. His lower lip quickly turns over and out comes the saddest little cry. I then have to separate them because not only is Noah a thief but he gets satisfaction from banging his toys over poor Jonah's head. Too bad it's Noah that has the teeth and not Jonah. Poor guy is defenceless. This is not to say that they never play well together...just better when they are in the same room but with their own toys...unless their "toy" is Elijah. Then everything changes and they become quite content being completely amused by their older absolutely hilarious brother. It's wonderful to watch all 3 play together. I wonder what it will be like when they start walkingrunning?
