A couple weeks ago we went to the Lego Expo. We left a little early and caught a bite to eat at Beef O'Brady's, a wing place that was near Jake's house in Florida that he absolutely loved. They opened one in Arizona early last year but its pretty far from us, so this is the first we have been able to visit.
Once we got to the expo, Elijah was in heaven at once!
They were able to make their own masterpieces. Elijah didn't spend too much time on that. He was too interested in seeing everything else.
They had an area for Star Wars Legos. Someone made this cool ship that Noah just had to see.
Jonah got a kick out of the Ninjago guy.
They made their own cars that they could race.
And raced remote control cars around Lego obstacles.
And of course their was the giant area of Legos to play in.
I think it's safe to say that they all had fun.
And of course, a moment I thought seemed so far away. Elijah's first day of school. Out here in Arizona we start extremely early, so his first day was yesterday, August 1st.
When I woke up I found him already dressed with his backpack on and everything. He goes to pm kindergarten. He was very disappointed to have to wait.
On the way to school he apologized for not wanting to go to school before. Now he's really excited.
Here he is lining up at the Flag ceremony. All of the kids had no idea what was going on while the parents said The Pledge of Allegiance. Then he was off to Miss Morgan's pm kindergarten class. So far I think he really likes his teacher. She is from Milford and loves ice hockey and the Red Wings. Very cool for us! When I picked him up his first words were, "That was horrible!" Then I realized he was talking about waiting to be picked up. There are no buses and few people walk so there is a tremendous line of parents. I got to the line at 225 and didn't get him until 3pm so all of that time was him waiting outside in the heat. Poor guy was hot and tired....but...he LOVED the class. I'm so excited for him! I can't wait for him to learn how to read and write!!!!
