Pictures-Finally!

So here's the pictures I've been promising. These are of my birthday. We went to Claim Jumpers (steak...yummy!) and Jake bought me these yummy mini cakes. One is Tiramisu, the other Chocolate Mousse...mouth watering yet? They were very yummy.

These pics are of Elijah eating an apple. Little monkey put the whole thing in his mouth. I guess he was worried I'd take it away. He's such a little piggy. He ate a whole banana for lunch..in addition to a whole piece of toast and half of an avocado. I guess he's a growing boy.

In this picture he's decided he now likes peas..but only if he can feed himself..none of that squishy stuff anymore, Mom. Look how messy he is!



Can you tell the difference in the pictures??? Gone is all the hair! It took some getting used to but it's grown on me. I do miss being able to run my fingers through his hair but it will grow. We cut about 2 inches off. Of course I saved a couple locks for the scrapbooks.

I guess I better get going. I just really wanted to put up some pictures.

So Far Behind

Okay, so I'm super behind in what's been going on. I've been a little stressed with all the changes at work that have occurred and attempting to straighten out the home. Unfortunately it seems like just when I get ahead (or I should say caught up..never ahead) something happens and my house again looks like a disaster blew through. Oh well. The important thing is that I get to spend time and play with my little guy. He's so fun! What a character. He laughs at so many things. He studies everything..he always has really. I have pictures to post, but I think Jake took the cable for the memory card to work. It was on the computer yesterday and is not here today. Oh well. At least I changed out the snowflakes! I would have liked to change to something more spring-like but I guess this will do for now! What will I be posting? A few pictures from my birthday, some funny faces of Elijah eating an apple, and Elijah's haircut. Yes, Elijah got a haircut. His hair was just getting so long we needed to do something. Sadly he's to mobile to use scissors to cut it so we had to resort to buzzing it. Boo. It's all gone. He's still cute but I miss all his hair! At least it will grow back. Anyway. I guess that's all until I can actually post some pics!

All Smiles

Last Friday Elijah turned 8 months. Hard to believe it! He's somewhere between 20 1/2 and 21 pounds and 28 inches long. He can say Mama, Dada, and Papa, among other babblings. He plays peek-a-boo and LOVES music. He moves his hands like he is the conductor. A future song leader maybe? We are still awaiting the top teeth but the bottom ones are really coming in! He likes to be able to eat things himself so he's been getting cheerios, toast, pieces of banana, and some soft cooked carrots. He's a happy baby and loves to be cuddled. He's starting to throw little fits when he doesn't get his way. He is stingy with his kisses but gives hugs out pretty easily. He would still much rather take a nap with Mama then be in his own crib which works out okay when I have to work or worked the night before. Sleep is always good when you work nights! He's a joy and we love him to pieces. As you can see he's growing just fine. Look at those little thighs! He's very ticklish there and just bursts out laughing when Mama gets him! SQUEEZE the little man!

Froggy Time

I thought I would post a picture of Elijah using his big boy froggy towel. He's too big for the baby towels so I got this for him. He's so cute in it! Couldn't you just squeeze him?
This picture is a month old. Jake went to Shamrock Farms with his family one Saturday and he cought this picture. What a sweetie!
I took this picture today. He's just getting so big! Well, I guess I better get going. Lots to do. Working the next couple days and then I get to scrapbook Saturday. Looking forward to it!!!!!

I L-O-V-E cheerios Mom!!!!!!!

Mom,
I have fallen in love with something small, circular, and crunchy. You call them Cheerios. I call them wonderful bits of pleasure that fill my tummy oh, so well. Please don't be jealous. I've been telling you for some time now that I'm becoming more independent and this is just helping me to do so. I can grab them MYSELF...no help...K? I'll just let you know when I'm out. And a note of warning. If you put me down on the floor with some...you may hear me growling at Kitty. I understand Cheerios to be people food...NOT cat food! So Kitty can get her munchins' elsewhere...NOT FROM MY STASH! She may be nursing a pulled tail if she doesn't watch it. Oh, and another thing. Can you get this stuff in bulk? I don't want you to run out or anything.
