I had a lot of vacation time hours accrued so I decided to try to get some time off in May because of all the birthdays/anniversary, etc. I had planned on getting a lot accomplished. I wanted to go to someplace fun with the kids. I wanted to go through some things and organize and purge and have a yard sale. I wanted to be able to relax and enjoy my family. I had some sewing repairs to finish.
Looking at these past couple weeks, I guess I achieved some of my goals. Yet I still feel a let down because I didn't get it all accomplished. I guess that's what happens. Unfortunately sometimes I feel a black cloud hovers over a bit. Why? Well, lets just say in the time I've had off we've taken both cars in to be repaired, Jake has spent hours removing and reinstalling a toilet because someone (NOAH!!) flushed a comb down the toilet, and now our garbage disposal is broken and leaking water into our cabinet which means I can only use one side of the sink...and my dishwasher is broken. BUT!!! I got to have that yard sale trying to purge and earn a little extra money for more organization tools. But wait. Don't count your chickens before they're hatched! I RUINED MY PHONE. Yes. A tiny bit of water fried my iPhone. So now I am phoneless. Which feels weird. I should mention that not only does my phone have my life (meal plans, calendar, reminders, lists, etc) but we also don't have a home phone. Oh yes, and as Jake likes to remind me, this is now the FOURTH phone that I have ruined. Sigh.
Try to think happy thoughts. I'm not sure I was super happy yesterday when I found this, but here are the twins after they got into the toothpaste and lotion.
Having 2 year old twins is exhausting.
Especially when one keeps you up ALL NIGHT because they are sick. Thanks Noah! We went to the Dr. today and now he and I have antibiotics to take care of our nasty sore throat.
And here's Elijah trying to get me out of the way so he can play he wii Lego Star Wars game.
One positive thing thing? Jonah is pretty much potty trained! He's a bit sick today so he has had a little trouble making it on time, but for the most part he's done well! YAY!!!
