When do we catch a break?

Before getting into my boo-hoo sob story I will share two very rare pictures of us as a family.

Wow, you can see almost all of our faces...and of course a Jonah belly.
Maybe one day someone will surprise me and actually capture "the perfect family photo". Of course, that will probably be in 10 years.

Ok, on to my newest update. Maybe it would be more "catching" to come from Elijah. As he would say "Yisten to my story" when he wants to share something with us. We are, of course (drum roll please!) sick. AGAIN. I actually started to not feel too well on Sunday. Achey, chills. Gotta love it. By Monday morning it was the full blown flu and I felt TERRIBLE! I really don't know how I took care of the boys to be quite honest. I am pretty sure that if you weren't sure what "death" looked like, I was it. At least that is how I felt. Thankfully Mom and Dad came over yesterday and took the boys for me so I could get some much needed rest. It would have been wishful thinking to believe that's all that is needed to get rid of this crummy thing though. (If you have a weak stomach or think it uncouth to speak of bodily functions you may choose to skip over this part). Let's just say that despite only having a bowl of soup, a handful of crackers, and two little pigs in a blanket (ok, not the best choice) since Sunday night, one would have thought I had an 18 course meal with as many times as I have had to run to the bathroom. Unfortunately for Elijah, Mommy likes to share and he came down with the nasty bug as well. No aches, chills and fever, but diarrhea central. Poor kid. He says some pretty funny things though. Poor thing just couldn't stop for awhile and he said "Mamma, I don't yike diarrhea. I can't just stay on the toy-yet ahhl day. I gotta get dressed so I can pyay. Stupid diarrhea." He was a little upset with me because I told him that Gatorade would make him feel better. During his next run he said "Mamma, I don't think Gatorade works". Poor little buddy. Thankfully the twins don't seem to have had it as bad. A little bit of the nasty business off and on, not quite eating as much and they are sleeping a lot more but otherwise seem to be ok. All I have to say is THANK THE LORD it did not come to us last week. I can't imagine having this in Michigan...let alone on the PLANE! YUCK! Needless to say the house is a wreck (what's new) and I am scraping together things for us to eat because quite frankly, there isn't much. Gotta love the BRAT diet...unless you don't have any of the bratty things in the house. I guess Jake will be making a run to the store on the way home. I sure hope he doesn't get sick! I will end on this note. BOY AM I SURE GLAD I GOT THE FLU SHOT!
