Poor Elijah. We took him to urgent care yesterday because his fever that I had been fighting all day spiked to 104.5. He started having a dry cough so I was worried it might be strep throat. NOPE. It was yet another case of of hand foot and mouth disease. You have got to be kidding! It threw me off because yet again he does not have the classic blisters on his hands and feet. They are only on the back of his throat which of course he refused to let me look at, even with his Cars flashlight. I was just worried with such a high fever that he would have a seizure or something and I would be at work and poor Jake wouldn't know what to do. The doc just gave him some stronger pain medicine than the tylenol/ibuprofen I had been giving him because his throat was obviously hurting still. Of course I had to work yesterday and today so Jake was the one responsible to nurse him back to health. He didn't get a lick of sleep last night as Elijah wouldn't go to bed until after 12 and then woke up every hour. Jake is definitely a trooper and a great Daddy. I'm so glad Elijah has him.
Well, better get back to work.
