My Little Imp

This is my little imp. Jake took these pictures while I was sleeping. Notice the Spree candy box. It was on the bar. He uses his step stool (or more recently I found out the kitchen chairs) to get anywhere he wants to get anything he wants...so nothing is safe. On a couple of occasions we have found him outside when we hadn't locked the door (which I'm sure he will soon find out he can move his step stool to reach the lock). Two days ago he was sitting in his booster eating a snack while I was making dinner and he said "Mamma, Look!" I of course about had a heart attack when I turned to find him standing on top of his booster seat. He raised his arms and said, "TaDA!!" very proudly. I yelled at him to get down and sit on his bottom but, boy he thought he was something. He is quite the character. Yesterday night I gave him a bath, put a diaper on him, and let him play for a few minutes before he got the jammies on because he didn't want them on right then. Five minutes later he comes up to me diaper in hand and says "Mamma, diaper off." No kidding. He regularly claps his hands at poor Kitty and says, "Mow, GET DOWN!" Now, mind you, one of his first words was Kitty. Why he has decided that since she meows that should be her name, I have no idea, let alone how he won't let the poor cat be. She'll be sleeping on the couch and he does that to her. We keep trying to tell him we only do that when she goes on the counter or into our room but he insists on doing it to her constantly. His new love is dinosaurs. Everything is dinosaurs. I bought him a shirt from Target with a rhino on it and he argues with me that no, it's a Dino-SAUR Mamma! He also loves buses. He can spot one on the road a mile away. He has on one occasion woken up while napping screaming his head off making his GaGa run into the room only to find out he's upset b/c he hears the "I-key (ice cream) truck". He has done that for me as well, only it was b/c he heard the garbage truck and wanted to go wave to the garbage man. He wants to snack all day long and thinks it nothing to eat off your plate or drink out of your drink. Everything is "Mine now" although he will share with you. Don't get me wrong, he's sweet as pie when he wants to be. I went into his room when he woke up from his nap yesterday to find his stuffed moose wrapped up in his blankie and him reading a story to him. I told him he was a good Daddy and he just smiled and said "Uh-huh." He loves to read books and sing songs. He actually will sing some of the words and if they have motions like all good kids songs do, he'll go through them as well.
Well, I guess that's enough for now. I just love my little man!
