Really, Again?

Okay, so we've been battling those nasty little germs that like to cause runny noses, fevers and all that jazz over at our house. Anyone want to come over? Ha Ha. I mentioned in a prior post that Jake had an upper respiratory infection...well...that's just the start. I started feeling icky with all the nice pollen and such brought in our open windows on some windy days and that ended up turning into a horrible sinus infection. Really. I'm not exagerating. I've never wanted to physically pull out my teeth with Jake's pliers before. So I went in and got some antibiotics. Later in the week Jake had a follow up visit and they told him that the stuff in his chest was gone but he still had some yucky stuff in his head (I know, real technical terms for a nurse...get over it). So he got another round of antibiotics. Well, "the good news is that we didn't pass it on to Elijah" is what they said. Ha! If only we could be so lucky! Thursday he started out with some weepy eyes...which turned into a runny nose. I realized on Saturday when I took him to Target to pick up some last minute things for our trip that people must look at me and think I'm a terrible mom His eyes had been fine all morning and suddenly they were dripping (seriously, I'm not joking) with green goo. I'd wipe them and within 5 minutes they were goopy again. GROSS! So when we got home I found out he had a temp of 101. Thankfully I had an appointment already scheduled for me on Monday (SURPRISE!! My sinus infection was not cured with the antibiotics they gave me. What in the world? When does that happen?). Anywho. They could see Elijah as well (YIPPEE! Another hour wait at the doctor!). And guess what? He has an ear and eye infection. Really? And on Wednesday we're getting on a plane with lots of changes in pressure. Can we say nightmare? Hopefully HIS antibiotics work...and quickly. I'm not sure how I'll be able to tolerate a poor little BooBoo crying because his ears hurt. We shall see!
