A couple other little milestones that we've hit is that he has found his feet and has added playing with them to playing with his hands. He will play by himself for a little while now...especially in the morning. He's been lifting himself higher and higher while he is on his tummy and scooches all over the place when he's playing. I introduced him to a sippy cup with some water which he seems to really like. He has been grabbing at my cup for a while now so I thought he might like some water. His doctor told me I could give him water when he was a month old (which I wasn't so sure about but he said he was gaining so much weight it was fine) so I figured it would be fine now. We'll start cereal in a week or two. I looked at high chairs yesterday and wasn't sure what to get. I think I've got it narrowed down to a wooden one that Graco only sells at Babies R Us. It converts into a toddler chair later on. High chairs are just so expensive that I'd rather get a wooden one that lasts for about the same price. Well I best be going. I've been a little down again these past few days besides being away from home all day yesterday so things are starting to pile up again. What a vicious cycle! Oh, well.

Wiggly Guy
Well, already I have a little wiggle worm! We went to the cardiologist yesterday and Elijah had an EKG AND an echo. It took 3 of us (and a lot of time and patience!) to get him still for the EKG. I had to lay on the bed and hold him for the echo...which he was EXTREMELY wiggly for. Of course in the middle of it he just had to keep with his morning routine and you guessed it..filled his pants with something nice and stinky. I was a little embarrassed because then the tech commented on how stinky it was and did mommy eat enchiladas for dinner last night. No, I didn't...poop just stinks! So we found out that his PFO is closed but he still has a really small PDA and his VSD is smaller than before(small little holes in the heart for all you non-medical readers). He said his left ventricle is only slightly enlarged so he's not worried about it and of course Elijah is thriving...a whopping 17 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long! We're just going to follow up at about a year and then yearly if it's still open. On the way out Elijah was just squealing with laughter...don't know why but everyone got a big kick out of him...little cutie pie. He's definitely got a winning personality...pretty good for a little guy that just spent a little over 2 hours at the doctor!
