New Addition

So two weeks ago I sent Jake out for dinner and Twizzlers (I have MAJOR cravings now) and this is what he came home with.

Ok. So that's not exactly true. I did send him out for dinner and Twizzlers, however, he did at least text me the picture first and call me to see what I thought about her. We had been planning to get a dog before we found out that we were going to add a baby to our family. Jake fell in love, and he was with Jonah, our little animal lover...so it was hard to say no. He's not usually a Shi Tzu fan so I knew this must be love. 

She is just a ball of fluff. It's hard to tell which end is up.

But she likes to get into mischief like all puppies.

Mud is her favorite.

She loves to play. She pees on my carpet and chews my shoes, but she's lovable. There is something to be said about pet therapy. When I get a little down, I can just take her into my lap and she rolls over for me to rub her little belly and then licks my neck. She loves her family and really fits in. I just hope we can get her trained soon!

Don't mind the mess. We have been cleaning things up and getting things ready for storage so that we can bring in all the baby supplies....because as you know...babies bring a lot of stuff!!!

Luau

A few weeks ago Elijah's school put on a little luau to have some fun and earn some money for the school. One of the things that they had was a bounce water slide. The kids LOVED it.

We got Eeggees for a treat. Yummy!

We also played some more games. Each grade had some sort of little game to play.

Of course, bounce houses are always fun too.

Overall, I think the boys had a lot of fun.

Another Science Museum trip

A few weeks after our first trip, we had the opportunity to go again. This time, Elijah had the day off of school and could go with us, which made him so happy.

After the museum fun, we went to lunch and had ice cream. The kids have so much fun playing together. Jonah and Shiloh picked some flowers because they were having a "kid wedding". Way too funny. And Noah was sad because Anneliese took a liking to Elijah instead of him. Oh no. I am in for trouble when they get to true dating age!

First Science Museum Visit

I have some awesome friends that love to go do things. Unfortunately, I do not always keep up with blogging the things that we do. This was our first trip together to the Arizona Science Museum. It was super fun! While the kids are too young to understand everything, they definitely enjoy learning what they can and enjoy anything that is hands-on.

Update

How do you all like that? Major announcement and then I disappear off the face of the earth. Well, two reasons. For one, my laptop hates me. Brand new and it wouldn't let me sign on. I took it into the Apple Store and had to have it sent away...and lost everything. I "think" most of the photos are saved on our old computer. I sure hope so! This is the first day that I have been able to turn it on and test it. Sigh. All that work. I guess it just shows me that I need to back up to our hard drive more frequently. Oh well.

Second reason. I've been so, so, so sick. This pregnancy is kicking my butt. For the past 6 weeks all that I have been able to do is lie on the couch and either sleep or moan in disgust by how my body has turned on me. Of course, I've still had to go to work, so that's been a bundle of fun. Ha! I'm getting through it though and am hoping that it is going to taper off soon. At least I am starting to get hungry and have even had some cravings. Favorites are breakfast and hamburgers. Fruit and candy is pretty frequent as well. Of course, there's always the power of suggestion as well, so food commercials really stink right now. I am a few days away from the second trimester so that's a bit exciting. A little nerve wracking too, knowing there's less and less time to prepare for the baby!

The boys are doing great. Here they are at Elijah's music concert. He had a solo speaking part and he ROCKED it. He definitely does not get shy in front of attention. Shocking considering his parents (at this point all that know me, should know that I am laughing hysterically as both of us certainly do not shy from the spotlight).

In any event, hopefully I can get to blogging more frequently. I would really like to share more awesome recipes as well as how I am making this a pregnancy on the cheap. I figure in this stage, less is more and I really do not want to spend that much on maternity items. Same with baby things. I've learned a lot and know what I need and what I can do without.
